Haiti 2009. Respond.

when these things happen everybody responds.  It’s what you do.  No matter what that response is, it happens.  You see it, you hear it, and you respond. No matter what it is.  I promise, you’ve seen this haiti stuff and you’re responded.

Whether it’s indifference, action, tears, whatever… it’s response.  Doing something is as much of a response as doing nothing. 

It breaks my heart the way some people respond, and I think it breaks God’s heart. But none the less it’s a response. 

what’s yours?

I guess my response is that I see this picture of how much it breaks God’s heart that His people are hurting like this.  I see people, and a sliver of how God see’s them… with futures… and promise… and hope… I see That God loves those people, no matter who they are, the same as you or i…

my response will be action of some sort… at some time… but right now, in this moment, my response is love.

I hope you’ll pray for our friends… I hope you’ll pray for safety… I hope you’ll pray that people who love Jesus would become the hands and feet of our loving God, and love those people as HE does… I hope you’ll join me in praying that above all God would be at the center…
